Who are charity: water
charity: water is a no-profit organisation that bring clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. Funding water programs in 24 countries around the globe. They focus on providing rural communities with their first access to clean water.
Why water
The majority live in isolated rural areas and spend hours every day walking to collect water for their family. Not only does walking for water keep kids out of school or take up time that parents could be using to earn money, but the water often carries diseases that can make everyone sick. But access to clean water means education, income and health - especially for women and kids.
Our Progress
We're passionate about solving the water crisis in our lifetime, using 100% of all public donations to fund water projects, and proving where every dollar goes with photos and GPS coordinates. Here's the progress we've made since we started working in 2006.
